NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE EDUCATION COMMITTEE. WALKER WEST COUNCIL SCHOOL.
(Senior Department).
As Mr. L. Forster was an assistant with me for seven months at Mitford St. Council School, I had ample opportunity of forming an opinion about his general qualifications as a teacher.
He is possessed of much intellectual ability, strong teaching powers, and is a firm, yet kind disciplinarian.
The enthusiasm and thoroughness with which he discharges his various duties are reflected in the marked progress made by the pupils placed under his care.
As he is also a man of sterling character I feel that I can with every confidence recommend him for the position of Headmaster.
For nearly two years and a half, Mr. Lancelot Forster has served
as Cert. Asst. in this school (average attendance 620) to my entire satis- faction.
He teaches with much skill, intelligence and effectiveness, and is punctual, regular and diligent in the discharge of his duties.
He is a young man of considerable ability, being highly qualified and in every way well fitted to do thoroughly efficient work in either Primary or Secondary school.
He is of a kind and obliging disposition, and his moral character is irreproachable.
